ALKROS COACH

Nutrition alongside training: from targets to a client menu

For coaches planning meals within their professional scope who want clients to understand the plan they follow.

Different needs, one application. Illustrative workflows, not customer testimonials.

The situation

A recipe list is not a daily plan. Clients need meal structure, concrete quantities and agreed substitutions. Coaches need to see whether days are complete and how meal totals compare with targets.

The workflow

Gather preferences and restrictions, enter agreed targets and choose meal structure. Add recipes or ingredients, check labels and quantities, then review the days before saving. Repeated days and templates reduce re-entry, but each copy still needs review for that client.

Boundaries and review

Missing nutrition is not zero. Similar calories do not establish allergy safety. Planning must stay within the provider’s professional scope; specialised medical nutrition requires an appropriate professional. Use the meal planning guide to check readiness before assigning.

A practical adjustment

A client cannot prepare lunch in the available time. Review that meal before replacing the entire menu. Choose an appropriate alternative, check foods, quantities and reported allergies, then compare daily totals. The reviewed and confirmed change becomes the new agreement.

If an ingredient lacks nutrition data, the total is incomplete. Adjusting portions against a number that excludes ingredients is not useful. Complete the data or explain the estimate’s limits first.

What the client needs to understand

Before assigning, check that the day, meal count, quantities and substitution process are clear. Ask the client to find the next meal and prepare shopping from the plan. A simple plan the client understands is more useful than variety they cannot follow.
